As a member of propeller for a few years now, especially in the political forum, I see the same problems that are OUR biggest problems in America and why we continue to slide at almost every level.

The game that BOTH politcal parties like to play can best be seen here by the submissions and the replies. Both sides have made it their goal to see a man or a party survive over the survival of America and its citizens. Both sides claim to be patriotic Americans, but anyone can see by reading through the comments on the political submissions, that these people care little about America and more about supporting thier political parties and canidates.
I do not care if Obama succeeds in the sense of his personal popularity, Nor did I care about that when Bush was president. OUR nation will go further than a 4 or 8 year term.
We as Americans need to wake up! Its not about the man or woman in office. Its about the issues. Can ANYONE really believe they can take OUR nation one step further by bashing the other party? This is why I am against both of these parties and believe they should both be voted out. It has no longer became a question about what is righ tfor OUR families and OUR nation. Its a question on how they can keep or regain the power and for how long?
I see members here on propeller that HAVE to know things done in thier party cannot be correct for OUR nation, BUT will fight the point only to support their canidate. Even at worse case when they have no arguement more that last comment will be, well your canidate did it also.
Is this America? A battle between to canidates? OR should WE as Americans be debating the ISSUES and how we can solve OUR problems.
We should be holding OUR president accountable for every decission on every issue. We should be doing that with every elected official. Giving support and praise in areas he or she has done well and voicing OUR concerns and opinions where we have found they have not. At NO point though should we make them or thier party the center point.
We the PEOPLE should be and must be the center point of OUR nations politics. We are America and America must come first!-

I applaud you, Albmore, for stating what I think. The troubles in this country have nothing to do with black vs. white, nor red vs. blue, nor Republican vs. Democrat.

The main focus on "what's best for America -- the U.S." has been diminished with all this immature name calling on sites like Propeller, and finger-pointing across the aisle.
It's impossible to even begin the long list of travesties imposed on American citizens since 2001, for me to expound further -- it just boggles my mind trying to recite them all.
But, anyone following news over the last decade knows how it's all been so distorted for nefarious gains by a select few. -

It has nothing to do with the two party system. It has everything to do with each party misrepresenting the people.

Did you know we have a Constitutional Party that has little or nothing to do with the Constitution?
And a Libertarian Party that has no real direction and heavily counters both conservatives and Liberals.
Lets face it.. we will never get rid of welfare, and we will never get rid of moral laws.
What we need are politicians who represent the people. Both Democrats and Republicans exists to counter one another, to provide a balance. But politicians do not represent the people, merely there own special interests.
Democrats foster dependency on government to get votes, thus power.
Republicans inject their actions based on religious views and special interest.
If each party functioned on behalf of the people, you would get a balance of both social, economic and religious freedoms.
What is destroying this country is government welfare, dependency, heavy taxation and regulation which is taking away ALL of our freedoms.
Social Liberalism and Religious Conservatism are dividing and destroying this country.
I am a Fiscal Conservative, I believe in smaller government, States rights, personal accountability, financial freedom. I'm a mix between conservatives and Libertarians but I and not 100% of either.
Its not about the 2 party system, its about the 2 party substance. -

I agree with Albmore. And anyone who has read any of my comments knows it. I have called for the end of the Republican Party by simply shunning them out of existence. That gets the GOP faithful to calling me a lying Liberal.

Of course, I have also called for the impeachment of Obama. That got me called a right wing wacko.
I wanted Bush prosecuted and Obama Impeached for the very same reason: They both signed signing statements claiming exemption from the laws of the United States and claimed not to be bound by the Constitution. Both did exactly the same thing.
I don't think either President had the good of the Nation as their priority. And neither does the Congress. So I agree with Albmore.
The real dunces are those of us who continue to suffer the criminals and corrupt officials because they are "Our Guys".
Finally I suggested that as we got rid of the Republicans ( because they were the weakest party ) we should be forming a Coalition of Independents. Independents outnumber republicans and Democrats combined.
But unfortunately there are not many real Americans among us. Real American stand up for our country and what is good for the people and would not allow criminals and corrupt officials to continue in office.

I share the hate of both parties but I voted for my incumbent George Miller because one of the bills he finally got passed out of his labor department is to end "made in USA" fraud. Before you could manufacture something in a US territory and pay pennies on the dollar but still present the product as made in the USA implying that the workers were treated to US labor standards. Miller is one of the few decent guys left.

America the symbol of Freedom. right?
Yet if you look up the word "Freedom " it say's "" to be Free from restraints"
Well we haven't been free from restraint since we became a agraculteral society and our ancient ancestor the Hunter gathers. faded away.
We were restricted from living freely off of it by those that force themselves in to power by raiding villages killing people and plundering the fruits of our labor.
Claiming land for their own and charging people for the right to live on it .
Its been that way ever since .
Now we feel we need someone to rule over us and guide us.
( sure we laws to protect us from those that would do harm to others ,vandelize and steal)
What the people really need is to learn to respect his fellow man's freedom and rights.
We should be allowed the true Freedom to provide for ourselfs and our family with the inerferance of others trying to profit from the fruits of his labor.
People should be able to live freely off the land.
As a society we should help one another ,work together.
instead of fighting for power and control
Contribute freely to your society your skills.
Provide Freely through trade and exchange in market things that could help others.
Money is a form of control to enslave us.
To make us work for those who produce it and force us to use it to buy our needs.
It robs us of any Freedom we had.

What about people who live in places where farming (the only true means of self sufficiency you describe) is virtually impossible? Do you want them to simply die off because in the SOCIALISM you describe (the profit motive being taken out of the equation), the transportation means needed to keep these people alive will wither away and die.... Do you want that on your epitaph?

In my book :The Devil's Reign" I made many statements that agree with most of the comments I've read in this conversation. Corporate and Political greed and corruption, drugs, gangs, the abuse of power, the degredation of morals and values, etc., are all contributing to the downfall of America. Unfortuantely, very little is being done to stop what I call "A Wave of Evil" that is spreading over the world. The people we elected because they touted themselves to be the experts who knew how to run our country are the very people who are destroying it. We are being destroyed by our own government. We need term limits on every politician. We need American's running our government, not Republicans or Democrats. We must stop constantly bandaging our problems. We must stop the causes of them. Until the punishment for crimes are equal or worse than the crime, crime pays. THE LAMB NEVER KILLS THE LION. We must fight our enemies (crime, gangs, greed, corruption, terrorism, etc.) with equal force unbound by ou own rules and laws, or we will be destroyed. We can't stop the devil by patting him on the back. Also, Capitalism devoid of rules to control greed and corruption is no better that Socialism. The Roman Empire collapsed because it was a dog eat dog society, which was basically uncontrolled Capitalism giving power to the rich and greedy.

People of all races and creeds must accept their differences and unite to fight evil together or we will never have peace on Earth.
Predictions I made in my book are coming to pass. We must stop the evils that are being allowed to spread over the world, before it is too late. -
