In Penn, 27% opted for Huckabee or Paul; in N Carolina and Indiana, McCain opponents earned 23% of the vote. The Washington Times calculated that McCain had garnered no more than 45% of the Republican vote.

News – Peter King (R-NY) slammed fellow Republicans for pressuring Vito Fossella (R-NY) to resign amid revelations of a drunken-driving arrest and secret love child. Fossella admitted to an affair and a 3yo daughter with the woman. Fossella was arrested on drunken driving charges after running a red light on the way to her home.
News – Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton each insisted Friday that the race for the Democratic presidential nomination wasn't over, even as Obama racked up at least nine more superdelegate commitments -- including another Clinton defector.
