Candida

All my life I've had a thirst for knowledge, and I'm willing to learn from anyone, anywhere and anytime. I enjoy a good debate where arguments are supported by solid evidence. I belong to no political party, support democracy, freedom, justice, equality and civil liberties, and oppose oppression, hate, discrimination, cruelty, violence, intolerance, intimidation, ... (but who doesn't, right?). I believe in the innate goodness of humans (although only "on the balance of probabilities" rather than "beyond a reasonable doubt"). My tolerance extends to cynicism, sarcasm and ignorance (all of which I'm guilty occasionally), but not to blind hate or personal insults. I don't think calling someone a moron makes an argument more convincing, so I try to use it as little as possible.
