Judge Rejects Bush's Stance On Wiretaps

Politics – A federal judge said that President Bush does not have the constitutional authority to overstep the law establishing the government's ability to conduct warrantless wiretaps on American citizens. FISA, in 1978, established the 'exclusive' means for engaging in wiretaps, and the president in his capacity as commander in chief can not evade that law.

Science – A computer model developed by the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute estimates that by the end of the century, high temperatures for once-in-a-generation heat waves will rise twice as fast as everyday average temperatures. Chicago, for example, would reach 115 degrees in such an event by 2100. Paris heat waves could near 109 with Lyon, France, coming closer to 114.

Unfair and unbalanced: Fox News' coverage of Obama tops the bias scale

Television – Fox News, whose slogan is "Fair and Balanced," seems to have gone above and beyond in its anti-Obama rhetoric. Engaging Theism and Creationism

Religion – A scientific world-view entails atheism and thus contradicts Creationism. I am relatively sanguine when it comes to scientists who believe in God, as opposed to the much greater alarm I exhibit toward scientists who espouse Creationism.
