The Clash Live Revolution Rock (2008)

Music – I just watched portions of this DVD on KQED Public Television here in San Francisco during their pledge drive. The performances are raw, and powerful, and fun. Some (much?) of the footage has never been seen before and I can t wait to get this for myself and friends.

Snoop Dogg Ego Trippin

Music – I was introduced to Snoop Dogg when most people were when I heard the track "Deep Cover", which was featured on the soundtrack of the same name. Dr. Dre was the main man on the boards for NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" and "Efil4zaggin", so you knew when he produced a track you were going to get what the Dr. ordered 10

Celtic Thunder - Celtic Thunder March 18, 2008

Music – This is a fantastic new group of individual solo artists who collectively have a wonderful harmony. There is literally something for every one here. Stand Outs are Keith Harkin who wrote 1 of the songs he sings (Lauren and I) and looks like the surfer lad he is. We will absolutely hear more from him beyond Celtic Thunder. Ryan, Paul, Damian and Geo

YOU AND I Billy Preston

Music – In 1997, Billy Preston remained in Italy at Nicolosi Productions' studios for approximately a month to record You and I. This album has remained mostly unknown to American fans, and has been sold only in Italy. Live at Radio City Music Hall by Dave Matthews

Music – Dave Matthews Rare Albums. OK While I d like to say I m a huge Dave fan, I will admit that unlike some of the people that will buy this CD, I only have been to 6 concerts and own 10-12 CDs including 5 live discs. To most people that is a lot, but to Dave Matthew addicts that might not. I know that there are some people so obsessed that they probabl

40 Seasons - The Best Of Skid Row

Music – When it comes to Greatest Hits albums, there are many that seem to fall short of capturing the essence of the band and what it is they accomplished. In the case of quot;40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row, quot; while it too is not perfect, it comes very close.

Ozomatli Don t Mess With The Dragon

Music – "Don't Mess With The Dragon" is Ozo's latest full-length studio album. I hesitate to call it "full-length" though, since it clocks in a just over a half-hour long. But I'd rather have a compact, tighter album than an overly long, drawn-out, watered-down 75-minute affair. I would agree with some of the other reviewers that this i

Sara Bareilles Little Voice Promo

Music – I absolutely love this CD. She is now one of my favorite artists, and definitely one of my favorite albums. Her beautiful voice mixed with the compelling and deep lyrics of life, love and relationships is to not be heard lightly. She is definitely someone I would consider a rising star and a must have in your musical collection.

Review of Minutes To Midnight by Linkin Park

Music – When I hear about a band or an album that gets slammed critically, I am immediately skeptical. This is because I tend to be a bit contrary when it comes to music. I got into hair bands in the 90s because I got tired of alterna-rockers whining about how much life sucked and doing pretentious things like going towards techno(Smashing Pumpkins), killi
