The dangers of Sucralose/Splenda

Health & Fitness – I have mentioned the dangers of aspartame as a sweetener before since it converts to formaldehyde in the system. Now comes doubts about its replacement, Sucralose/Splenda which supposedly contains a dioxin,chlorine. Should we be using chlorine in our drinking water, as a food additive, or when cleaning?

VA Estimates Fewer Homeless Veterans - really?

Do No Evil – On the number of vets from Iraq and Afghanistan who would need care, VA estimates were LOW. On the number of troops with traumatic brain injury, VA estimates were LOW. On the number of troops with PTSD, VA estimates were LOW. On the number of veterans who would need mental health care, VA estimates were LOW. There's a pattern to the VA's estimates.

Health & Fitness – Matthew Drake used to love cooking hot dogs. It used to be easy. Now it isn't so simple. As a soldier in Iraq, Drake was the sole survivor of a suicide car bombing that killed the other 4 people in his Humvee. He sustained a traumatic brain injury, and suddenly everyday activities like making hot dogs became too much for his brain to process.

Do No Evil – For over 2 years, the Pentagon delayed screening troops returning from Iraq for mild brain injuries because officials feared veterans would blame vague ailments on the little-understood wound caused by exposure to bomb blasts. The Pentagon wanted to avoid another controversy like Gulf War syndrome.
