Feds cite Schumer in collapse of IndyMac

Money – Schumer shouts "FIRE" in the crowded IndyMac theater... and then shrugs it off as the regulators' problem. Or, shall we say that Schumer merely put a dagger through the heart of ailing IndyMac? Thanks, Chucky!

Should Congress regulate how they can use new media?

Politics – While it's no surprise that each year more Americans turn to the internet to find news about what is happening in Congress, what is surprising is how resistant certain factions in Congress are when it comes to letting members of Congress communicate with their constituency more freely.

Urgent! Stop Senator Charles Grassley from Snooping on America!

Politics – The cloture vote on the Senate Housing Bill is today. But a little-known provision was slipped in that will allow the federal government to violate millions of Americans' privacy. They want to build a federal database of people who purchase things online from sites like eBay, Amazon and PayPal. Help spread the message far and wide with this video!

KOS Kiddies Sabotage Sen. Inhofe's Online Poll

Getting that New Converter Box Might be Trickier than it Sounds

Gadgets & Tech – The government, in its infinite wisdom (yes, that 's sarcasm), is issuing $40 checks to help with the expense for people who don't have digital T.V., or cable. The catch is that those coupons have to be used in 90 days, or the coupons expire - and the stores are having trouble keeping the "coupon eligible converter boxes" (CELB's) in stoc

Jimmy McGovern Quayle Obama

Politics – That Obama should come out of the blue with promises for improving all of America is reminiscent of another president who came out of the blue when the Republicans were down, and whom the voters quickly turned out of office, and that was the failed Jimmy Carter. We have seen Obama speaking for only a very short time, and already...

"Truthers" Reality Check Bounced

Science – The conspiracy theorists have yet to provide any reliable proof that it was NOT Flight 175 that hit the South Tower on 9-11-01. Actually, it was seen by NUMEROUS eyewitnesses and was recorded by many cameras- remember Flight 11 had hit the north tower 20 minutes earlier, so every camera in the area was obviously pointing at the Twin Towers.

It's All About Gas Prices

Money – Unless the dollar rises quickly and gas prices come way down, the primary issue that will determine the presidential election in November WILL be the Economy/OIL Prices!!! And the solution won 't be more taxes. The candidate with the best economic recovery plan will get America's votes. That is if most of us can still afford to drive.

Democrats Using 'New GI Bill' to Subvert the War Effort

Politics – It's no secret that the liberals on Capitol Hill want us to be defeated in Iraq ââ;¬Â¦preferably while Bush is still in office. Interesting, since the majority of them voted in favor of the Iraq War. It's killing them that we are still able to fight the war on terror on so many fronts with a volunteer milita

Touchy Democrats Show True Nature

Politics – If Barck Obama wishes to enter into the presidential campaign, he and his political allies need to grow up, state their case and join the debate. But in this dustup Democrats are showing themselves to be the party of thin skins. If they intend to possibly rule the nation, they should expect that they will encounter opposition, challenge and dissent

Team Blogging and Multi-Author Blog Etiquette

Gadgets & Tech – Team blogs are as varied as each blog owner's personal whims. Some team blog owners are quite laid back and trust the judgment of each contributor as to when, how, and what to publish. Other team blogs have strict rules and some, with numerous contributors, have posted rules as to when, how, and what type of material a contributor can post.
