Politically I'm a realist. If I could change one thing about politics, I would make everyone remove that consonant next to their names. Let them stand based on the merits of their ideas, not on their party affiliation. Today we root for our political parties like our sports teams. Does not matter who the person is, what they are about, as long as their on our team. The one thing that the parties forget is we are ALL on the SAME team.

Well if Ayn Rand objectivism had merit, we'd be celebrating Greenspan's success instead of suffering a collapse though. (Greenspan was a personal friend and devotee of the "philosophy" if you can call it that.) Though I agree with your statement party means little, and more plurality would be sane. If you mean it sincerely, great. Yet Ayn Rand was a right winger reactionary. So choosing a character from her books as a totem leads one to question whether there isn't a bias here.
