Karen DeSoto is an accomplished attorney, a distinguished scholar, a community advocate and a role model. Karen DeSoto’s accomplishments in the legal realm have earned her considerable recognition in her field. The director of her own practice, (the Bayonne, New Jersey-based Law Offices of Karen F. DeSoto), Karen DeSoto assists clients in the areas of criminal defense, municipal corporations, employment discrimination, and civil rights. Karen DeSoto’s legal expertise is further demonstrated in her appointment as a television legal analyst, and she has appeared weekly on MSNBC for nearly a decade. DeSoto’s scholarship excellence is illustrated in her three degrees from the notable East Coast institutions of Rutgers University and Temple University. Ms. DeSoto received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University in 1991, her JD from Temple University’s School of Law in 1996, and her Master’s of Laws degree in Trial Advocacy from Temple University’s School of Law in May of 2000.
