Politics – When you read about a vote in Congress that goes something like 412-1, odds are pretty good that the sole "nay" came from Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas. He so consistently votes against widely popular bills, in fact, that the Washington Post recently gave him the moniker "Congressman 'No.'"

Ron Paul (R-Texas), the libertarian congressman whose dedication to principle is one of the wonders of the world, is running for the GOP presidential nomination. At last - a Republican who opposes our interventionist foreign policy (consistently and articulately) and who has this to say about the Iraq war. Rep. Pau

Politics – Ron Paul is Hillary's worst nightmare. why in the world would she want to upset the applecart and face an unknown commodity like Ron Paul? Hillary knows exactly what McCain will do and say, but she has no playbook on Ron Paul. Nobody does. It's an entirely unpredictable race.

Politics – First, because all the major candidates are deeply flawed. Second, there are no good Republican candidates other than Ron Paul. Fourth, he picks up those extra four points by outflanking Hillary on the war

Politics – Practically speaking, our meddling in the Middle East has only intensified strife and conflict. American tax dollars have militarized the entire region. We give Israel about $3 billion each year, but we also give Egypt $2 billion. Most other Middle East countries get money too, some of which ends up in the hands of Palestinian terrorists. Both side

Politics – From Congress's point of view, there is a growing problem. That problem is the Internet. It allows people to communicate with each other almost free of charge. An email can be sent to a million people at little or no marginal cost. A mailing list becomes a tool of instant education and motivation. All over the wired world, politicians are finding t

Money – Let us examine the differences between the "real economy" and the "asset inflation economy" more closely. The real economy is typical of people's daily lives, their income, and their spending. If there is a boom in the real economy,

Money – Now that the Democrats are running Congress, the risk that Nancy Pelosi will launch a tax-rise torpedo at the stock market has risen. Investors ignore this risk at their peril. Make no mistake about it. Taxes on capital gains and dividends have an important impact on stock prices.

Politics – With Bush's address announcing a "surge" of 20,000 to 30,000 U.S. troops to Iraq, we may be missing the larger picture. The War Party is turning its attention from Iraq - to Iran.

Politics – Businesspeople aren't successful if they can't overcome the obstacles that government continually puts in their path or the pressure applied by competitors. Thus, a government mandate to increase the wage floor will put few business people, if any, out of business. Entrepreneurs will figure out a way to keep labor costs in line as they always have
