Born in Bluefield, WV, son of Josie Mae York and Antonio "Tony" Russo, the meanest man in Matoaka, educated by Catholic nuns who escaped from Nazi Germany on a ship, later was Honors Scholar at The Ohio State University until withdrew in 1973, finished BS in Math at WV State College, took two years of philosophy classes from Dr. Robert E. Allinson who is now Director of Humanities at SOKA University in Aliso Viejo, California, who was a student of Dr. James A. Diefenbeck, historian of philosophy (1917-2005) who taught at SIU-Carbondale and wrote four books which can be found on Amazon.com, was a loyal friend, mentor and the luckiest man who ever lived.
