Politics – Hagee has often made references to Catholicism as the 'great ,'. That's why it was odd that McCain sought out his endorsement so assiduously. Hagee says now he "better understood" that his use of those descriptions, are 'a rhetorical device long employed in anti-Catholic literature and commentary.'

Politics – The distorted manner in which CNN's favorite son, Wolf Blitzer, reports on the campaign and comments of Barack Obama has completely obliterated fair and objective news coverage on cable television.
Politics – Foreclosure package approved yesterday, despite presidential veto threat.
News – It has long been the custom to compare a popular piece of legislation to motherhood and apple pie. Evidently, that is no longer the standard. Worse, Republicans are now confronted with a John Kerry-esque predicament: They actually voted for motherhood before they voted against it.

Do No Evil – Glenn Greenwald points out Gordon's reporting is as predictable as it is uncritical and unreliable. Any time the administration ratchets up its Iran war rhetoric, Gordon uncritically mouthing administration claims -- pops up with a prominent article that does nothing other than repeat Government claims as fact.
