Real Estate – OFHEO said late Thursday that it has reclassified Fannie Mae as significantly undercapitalized during the fourth quarters of 2002 and 2003 as a result of Fannie Mae's recently-completed 2004 financial restatement. Fannie Mae is required to meet minimum capital standards in order to maintain its government charter.

Real Estate – A total of 11,912 existing single-family homes sold statewide last month, a decrease of 30 percent from the 17,088 homes sold during the previous November. The statewide existing-home median price was $242,500 last month, a 3 percent drop from one year ago, when the median price stood at $250,400.

Real Estate – A leading measure of U.S. home prices in the United States showed signs of a continued deceleration in most of the existing and newly-added metro areas. The 10-MSA S&P/Case-Shiller found yearly growth rate of 2.45 percent for October, the worst yearly growth rate since March 1997, when the growth rate stood at just 2.35 percent.
