I don't know if you will get this but hope you will. I was reading through some old posts when I fount your rebuttal to my comments on the constitution and the US war of independence. You claimed I don't know US history but that is where your wrong, to top that I have also studied British history which is something Americans are sadly lacking. If you were familiar with the history of the monarch you would have realized the upper and lower houses in England at that time ran the country and the Empire and not the King. The truth behind the War of independence is that American merchant class was jealous of what the ruling British merchant class was making off the colonies and wanted the profits for themselves. It started out as a matter on economics but grew much bigger. Slavery was also an issue as the Colonies, America was one of the last places in the British Empire slavery still was allowed but there was pressure to change that to which the colonists saw it as an attack on their economy, the large plantations in the south counted on slave labour. No sir the US beginning was not one shrouded in glory but one embedded with lies and deceit.
