Tomato Pickers' Wages Fight Faces Obstacles

Careers & Jobs – "The only way you can describe this industry is the way it was described 40 years ago: It's a harvest of shame," said Lucas Benitez, a co-founder of the farmworkers' group, the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. "The wages are so low that a lot of workers are just surviving."

Who George Bush Supports for GOP Nomination

Politics – So, ok. Bush won't publicly name his own favorite. Fair enough. By process of elimination, we can winnow down the field of candidates who Bush wouldn't support (and why), and in doing that, arrive at a conclusion as to who he does favor.

No Peace on Earth

Do No Evil – We should go to war only in self-defense. I don't believe the American people wish to adopt Iraq and Afghanistan as permanent wards of the taxpayers. I don't believe they want to keep burying sons and daughters whose deaths don't make America safer. That's not pacifism. It's common sense.

Abandon Congress

Politics – Let us abandon Congress, which means let us abandon the U.S. Constitution that establishes Congress. When a business project is losing money, any rational owner either fixes it up, sells it, or abandons it.

9/11 Commission Chairman: 'No Question' CIA Attempted 'To Impede Our Investigation'

Politics – I think it's ludicrous to suggest, in fact, that we withheld anything of consequence from the 9/11 Commission. Anything that was on the tapes that would be relevant to their inquiry was given to them in writing, and the tapes would have simply not advanced their inquiry at all.
