I'm a populist who believes in fairness, the pursuit of truth, and common decency more than party politics. I've become disgusted with rigid ideologues on both sides who value spin, lies, simple black/white soundbites, and misinformation over genuine, intelligent, and civil discourse. Our media has sunk to tearing down all too human public figures for sheer, petty entertainment. It's a tragic waste of the 1st Amendment, which I cherish. Still, I'm here because I don't want to give up, and at heart, I believe we humans still respond to goodness and truth. "A single candle can lighten a great darkness."
