Born in Alexandria Egypt. Emigrated to the US as a result of exile from Egypt in 1962 due to ethnic cleansing. Learned to speak English in 6 months. Became English teacher in 1969. Taught language at Berlitz as first job. Had my own business in 1991. Became a citizen in 1981 and began to travel the world in search of women owned businesses to promote in the US. Have one daughter who is a lawyer in NYC. Divorced, and still kicking.
