Hello, I am a 25 year old male from Colorado. I am a Sergeant (E-5) in the US Army. I serve as a 68W, a Combat Medic in a Infantry unit. I have been in the Army for 5 years now. I have been deployed to Iraq twice and recently returned this past March. I was awarded the Combat Medical Badge and the Purple Heart. I was wounded lightly by shrapnel from a Rocket Propelled Grenade and still have some of it left in my leg as a reminder. War has really changed my view on the world. I have witnessed fellow good friends and soldiers lose their lives. I have seen some become seriously wounded and disabled. I do have pride in the fact that I never fired a shot in Iraq, but only gave medical aid to our wounded and enemy combatants. I fought to save their lives as much as our own lives. I have an open mind on all opinions and I claim no political party. I vote by what I feel is best for the interests of our country. I try, with an open mind, to look at both sides of any argument. Politics effect me personally on where I may or may not be deployed, so I try to choose wisely. I try to be sincere and honest as much as possible. I am truly proud to serve this great nation.
