Mrs. Palin, stay close to the facts!

This is in fact a very detailed fact check of Sarah Palin´s speech! Politicians, especially in times of Conventions, when unity and self-confidence of the own party is much more important than the truth, are seldom measured by reality. Just the lenghth of this article makes it obvious, how many discrepancies can be figured out between Mrs. Palin´s statements and the pure facts. Sometimes, the reason might have been ignorance, but often enough, this extremely manipulative handling of the truth seems to have been intentional. Besides all rhetoric brillance (which is not the greatest gift of John Mc Cain!) it is the substance of a speech counting. And, reduced to the facts, there wasn´t too much of it!
