Sir Walter Waffil was a famous chef who was born and raised in Devon, South West England. Knighted by the Queen in 1953 for culinary excellence, Sir Waffil dedicated his study to breakfast confection and took a keen interest in his favorite creation, the waffle. He opened his first Shoppe in 1956 and his patrons would arrive before dawn and be waiting for the opening of his humble kitchen to feast on his already legendary Waffles.
