Autos – Last year I wrote about Solar Electrical Vehicles and their system for adding solar panels to the roof of your hybrid. It includes a supplemental battery pack and solar panels for the roof, which they said could increase MPG by 17% - 29% for a Prius.

Politics – A federal judge said that President Bush does not have the constitutional authority to overstep the law establishing the government's ability to conduct warrantless wiretaps on American citizens. FISA, in 1978, established the 'exclusive' means for engaging in wiretaps, and the president in his capacity as commander in chief can not evade that law.

Do No Evil – The YouTube lawsuit has reached a juncture, where a judge has decided that Google must give up all of its user data. Therefore, anyone who has an account at YouTube is now seeing their personal data exposed as part of the Viacom vs. YouTube litigation.

Do No Evil – Google has been ordered to turn over YouTube user data to Viacom. But Viacom will be guilty of contempt of court if it uses that data for anything other than specifically proving the prevalence of piracy on YouTube, a source close to Viacom told CNET News.com on Thursday.

News – In a bizarre incident that sent shock wave across India, a 12-year old boy in Orissa's Rourkela was pushed out of a moving train for not paying Rs. 50 ($1.2) to a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE). The victim Shankar Singh has been admitted to a hospital. He is in a critical condition and already lost his leg and hand.
