I am a refugee from Oakland, California, with stops in Manhattan, Berkeley, Tracy, Los Angeles, Ventura, Bakersfield, San Francisco, Honolulu, Orlando, Gainesville, Fort Lauderdale, and Coos Bay. My wife and I have been operating wicksworks.com, a candle boutique, since 2001. In 2008 and 2009 we became web barons, creating wordwooze.net and easyfuncandlebiz.com and purchasing ocnsignal.com, walking101.com, and homeandcareers.com.

The fact that I earned a B.A. in Journalism on full scholarship from USC is a minor miracle considering that I left high school during my senior year to live the bohemian life in New York City. Some highlights of my career include operating a repertory cinema, editing a small newspaper, managing and owning various businesses, and teaching English and reading in a program for at-risk girls.
