Posted by: Greatlyn 3 years, 4 months ago

Dr. Melfi, A.J., Meadow and Janice are back--and Melfi at an astounding price tag. No deals yet with Silvio or Pauly (they both want 200K per episode), but James Gandolfini has apparently been on the phone with them, arbitrating Tony-style.

Looking forward to these last few episodes. HBO really had a hit with the Sopranos.

This type of production where criminals are humanized is unsociable behavior. Society is debased when criminals are center stage entertainment.

Thumbs down on the new format Netscape. Now when I come for good news stories, I’m forced to read useless comments from idiots who think their opinion really matters.

“Society is debased when criminals are center stage entertainment.” Whaaaaaaaa! Stop being such a Wuss, you DB!

I am with this comment by Patrick76777. I don't like the new Netscape format at all and will be forced to change to a new home page if this doesn't go back to the old format. I don't want to read comments from other people - if I did I would joint a discussion group. This is not the Netscape I'm used to and don't like it one bit.

            1. It's TV, not life. There is an off button with your name on it. Use it, then go save the world from the real life criminals.

            2. It's not TV, it's HBO. No one gets HBO by accident. Just as with porn, if it offends you, stop paying for it to enter your home. If it's not entering your home, what is your problem? If you have HBO, express your concerns to them. Or hit the off switch.

            3. It's MY TV. I will watch what I what. You go stand in a corner and be offended if you like, just don't dictate to me what constitute approriate subject matter to dramatize.

I can't wait for the final 8... the will get the everyone on board... no way folks are going to walk away from a huge--and final--pay day like this.

Patrick: you can vote down the comments of people you don't like and block them... I agree some folks are idiots in the comments--just like in real life! If they are help the community out by hitting the bad key!

While I to a certain degree agree with dublinliam, looking at the show purely as a societal influencer, I have to say that most of the bad people in the Sopranos actually have bad lives and suffer for the evil they do in the world. There's some humanization there, but there is also a nice strong critique that keeps it from being entirely without its merits as a societal force. Aside from that, and looking at the show purely as entertainment, it's one of the best shot shows on television. Very artful eye behind it.

I think people tend to forget that the reality is - - this is still Hollywood. It is a show. Not a reality show. I'm looking forward to the final show. It's is going to be a "bang".

Let's see-the Suprano's is just Hollywood? Well, so be it but the program still suggest's the MOB or the Mofia or that life style is somehow worthy of notoriety? I've never watched the program, never will. It's in BAD taste by sending the wrong message. Anyone who enjoy's it is probably a "Wiseguy Wanta-be". Maybe the producer's have, let's say: "Owed (some organization) money". Otherwise who in their right mind would think this ellegal lifestyle needs story telling?

I love the Sopranos, and hate that its going off the air.If you want to talk about crap on tv stop and watch a bit of South Park. That show should have never made it to tv. Now thats my opinion, but i know im not alone in it.
