June 30, 2006, 10:27 p.m.The new Netscape sucks, and it really blows too. CHANGE IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't want the "AOL" homepage. We want the ORIGINAL Netscape back. A loyal user since 1995. WTF? You should have run the beta version, then offered to the ones who really want it, cause I am thinking that 99% DON'T want it. GIVE US BACK OUR OLD NETSCAPE!!...

June 30, 2006, 11:40 p.m.The new Netscape is a terrible disappointment. I don't know what I'll use for my homepage, now. But, it won't be this.

July 1, 2006, 2:34 a.m.The new netscape home page sucks - where's the links that were on the old page? I don't like the 'aol' look of the new page. I'd like to have been given the choice of keeping the old style netscape pages or changing - I would have kept the previous style.

July 1, 2006, 2:39 a.m.All of us are not real computer literates and it takes some time to learn a system. Just got comfortable with Netscape and this new version blows up in my face. System restore will not help either, I've tried. Even made an attempt to use "My Netscape" as home page and it blew up because it said I was not allowing cookies. Everything I checked had cookies enabled. Now I can't get back to the "New" Netscape home page without doing a reload a couple of times. Looks like I will be shopping around for another service provider after all.

July 1, 2006, 8:21 a.m.It seems Netscape, does not intends of returning back to its old format.
So I suggest, we ALL find a new Browser (LIKE GOOGLE, they have e-mail),,,and change over. Netscape, which is own by AOL, who I hated, is forcing us to use something that sucks,, IM NOT A BLOGGER,,, that what Netscape has turned into.
If they lose customers, maybe then they will take us serious.

July 1, 2006, 11:05 a.m.With so many of us hating the new ( Lousy) look I wonder why Netscape would continue with it. I dont think its user friendly. It is a confusing look, sad since I had been loyal to Netscape right from the start, but this turns me off. I have switched to Yahoo home page till Netscape switches it back to the old format or at least gives us the choice of choosing a format.

July 1, 2006, 12:02 p.m.Netas, I'm sorry you do not like the site. I hope you will give it a chance. If you are looking for something more like your old experience you should consider either http://isp.netscape.com or http://www.aol.com

July 1, 2006, 12:45 p.m."The new Netscape is a terrible disappointment. I don't know what I'll use for my homepage, now. But, it won't be this".....I totally Agree!!!!!
The old Home page was a summarization of everything on one page...I used to think this is great! Now...I'm thinking this is terrible!
The old home page saved me tremendous time in the morning and throughout the day, kept me up to date on what is going on in the world as a quick review in whatever, I selected to read, with this being said, Not everybody wants to read the same thing running down a long list of activities.
Now...I lost interest by losing precious time in trying to find wherever everything is located and as to what's going on in the world by trying to use your site.
Please go back to the old format soon before, I and everybody else decides to go searching for or switch onto your competitor.

July 1, 2006, 12:54 p.m.I don't like this new format. I want a home page which gives me a quick look at the news and other important information when I log on. This isn't it. This may appeal more to children and therefore be a good move from a commercial vewpoint, but I'm looking elsewhere.

July 1, 2006, 2:01 p.m.The more users that register, the less "negative" comments like the ones above will be posted. This is a forward thinking site. And, I totally agree: aol.com is just what the old Netscape used to be with a different style and color format, so it "seems" different. I am switching back to Netscape because of this change... as my browser (8.1 is great) and as my home-page! The fact that it integrates with AOL (via Screen Name service) is definitely a plus!

July 1, 2006, 2:03 p.m.Hey CK...
Is netscape ever going back to the OLD MAIL?
The mail you all have had for the last year is LOUSY!
I hate the teeny tiny little area surronded by tons of ads. You have to constantly scroll and half the time you can't get to the next page because the blue arrow never shows up!
I have asked via "feedback" and never hear anything back!

July 1, 2006, 2:30 p.m.I agree with the majority (meaning: ALL) comments posted here - THIS VERSION IS LOUSY!! I see no benefit to the reformat. How can you possibly find relevant news or information on this page? I have been a loyal Netscape user since they started, even though I hated what they did to their email service last year. This is the final straw. I will be switching to Yahoo for my homepage from now on. I recommend that everyone else does the same. Perhaps if their ad revenue plummets THEN they will bring the old version back!

July 1, 2006, 3:44 p.m.I am used to a quick review of the news and current events with morning coffee. It is sad to see that Netscape is choosing this format and I doubt there have been many positive reviews. Like many of the above I am actively looking for a new homepage. Just take a poll and I think the outcome will be obvious.
At least give us the option "old look" or new.

July 1, 2006, 3:45 p.m.Hi CK.. Thanks for your response. However like almost all on this forum the reason I vented my frustration was the old site was GOOD, BETTER and BEST as compared to the new site. It had everything on one page which was like customized for the masses. Any one could pick his/her choice. Does that make any sense and if it does switch back.
As per your suggestion I tried aol.com, never liked AOL am not a member of AOL and did not like the site. As per isp.netscape.com it is close to the old site but not the same its a substitute. Anyway I have been loyal to Netscape right from the start however when someone does not listen to their loyal friends then a time comes to say goodbye to that friend. I just cannot understand why you cannot give the users a choice when they log in as to which site they want to go to.
If Netscape does not go back or offer the choice I will free up my hard drive by removing Netscape and just keep Internet Explorer. Goodbye.
