I haven't tested this software, as it is PC only and I use a Macintosh computer. However, it might be a good solution for those of you looking for some protection out there on the world wild web.

Firefox is my default browser and after installing software it basically just froze my computer up. After reading comments on CNET, I understand that you must use IE. I am going to test it again.

I tested it, it probably is one of the better software's that AOL has to offer, it does a very good system check and gives usefull advice, was happy to note my laptop got a 96/100 . Its a very small install and it doest dump any of the other products that AOL has to offer!!! :-)

critic101 or Ryan ...how long did it take it to scan your computer and provide you with info?

it took maybe about 8-10 seconds, but it evaluated my laptop pretty good, for example, i have wep ecryption for my wireless and it asked me to change to wpa as wpa is more secure, i'm a networking guy and i knew what it was talking about!

AOL.... NO WAY! I would never have it. Just try to get rid of that service. Nearly impossible! I had 3 months of "run arounds" and finally had to close my credit card so I would not be charged. I quit the service before I was supposed to be charged on that "100 Free Hours" tactic they use. I cancelled after 4 hours the next day.

              AOL is a scam operation.

I downloaded and tried the software. I also deleted it shortly afterwards. It told me that my antivirus was not upto date. This was obviously wrong since it automatically updates everyday! Still, I humored it and updated it manually. The antivirus told me that I had the current definitions already...which I knew. Went back to the monitoring software and ran it again...told me the same thing. Good job AOL.

While monitoring the death throes of Netscape, the "Anchors" pick up a few brownie points by helping parent AOL sell a few products.

Maybe they'll get a job when Netscape expires, but what services are they qualified to perform? Sweeping the office?

It seems strange to me that an article about an AOL product makes it to the top of the main page with only 17 votes.
