They conduct total war to scare islamic population and force mahomedan to move into christian territory north. This will make both christian and muslim population fighting each other while at the same time Jews will repopulate occupied south with settlers.

July 22, 2006, 11:50 a.m.Please, Bobola, do you really think that? To annex norther Lebanon what for? Hezbollah has got to face IDF like MEN and not hide behind civilians, Lebanon should act as an independent State and stop Hezbollah from causing so much damage on its behalf. Israel has not a single reason to invade any country. Had Israel's northern border been quite, just like the border with Jordan and Egypt, two countries who understood it goes in their favour to sign a peace treaty with Israel, no harm would have come to any civilian anywhere, i.e. Gaza and Lebanon. Is it so difficult to learn that lesson and become a mature independent country? In a final analysis, Lebanon will have to settle its own internal affairs in a responsible way and avoid letting factions and terrorists lead the country to disaster.

If we wern't such a nation of stupid libs who think you can reason with terrorist we would be right there with them instead of sitting on the side lines. I hope they kill every one of those muslim bastards. And don't tell me about innocent civilians. There are no such thing in the muslim countries. From babies they are taught to hate Israel and America. There are basicly only two types of muslims, the ones who are actively tring to kill every jew and american (and anyone else who disagrees with them for that matter) and the ones who feel guilty because their level of faith in islam is not strong enough to cause them to do the same. The muslims you might know and think of as friends, hate your guts. They don't have any of the stupid ideas of tollarance like we americans have.

July 22, 2006, 12:11 p.m.Imagine if Al Qaida had been launching rockets into the United States from the Mexico or Canada, sending suicide bombers into New York City, and actually had members of it's group holding seats on the Canadian parliament. Also Al Qaida was the elected ruling party of Mexico, and it's official stance on the U.S. was that it had no right to exist as a country, and all of it's citizens should be murdered in order to force them out.
This is what Israel's situation with their neighbors is: Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.
Would the U.S. response be as forceful as the Israeli's has been, if Al Qaida came across the border, killed our troops and kidnapped a few as well?

1. Israel has given back territory (Gaza) as a peaceful gesture, not aquired more.
2. If the Israelis were interested in conquest, they could crush the entire Lebanese army, as well as Syria in a matter of days.
Sadly, Bobola's comment isn't just one ill-informed conspiracy theorist, but reflects a view held by a majority of muslims in the middle east. The clerics and sheiks who run those countries know that as long as they keep the general population angry at the US and Israel, they will never turn their rage where it belongs - at the same clerics and sheiks who have squandered those countries resources on their own palaces instead of building an economy or infrastructure that could provide for the people.

There is one exception, the torah for the most part is using rape, murder, ect as examples of people screwing up. Showing the negitive effects of such behavior. Where as the koran is encourageing such behavior. The examples in the torah where killing is a directive from God, it is in such cases much like the ones the Jews are dealing with today.

You can not defeat an opponate by trying to physcoanilize them (Man I have got to get a spell checker handy). Only hatred and anger will allow you to do the things necessary to win a war. If you cannot commit fully to the destruction of your enamies, then stay the hell out of it.

July 22, 2006, 1:40 p.m.Religion probably has little to do with what's going on in the middle east- I doubt that the Koran or Torah has much impact on the actions of either side. I do think Hezbollah should man up and quit hiding behind civillians if what they really want to do is fight- but I think the whole mess is a land feud complicated by years of atrocities on all sides. If it weren't for the peace and prosperity the Irish were eventually to achieve I might give up hope, but where there's life... and by the way, I do think Israel has a right to exist in peace.

I’m freaking out. Are you serious or is one intoxication like others. Do you think that our objectives are territory? Are you blind or you just wanted to?
We want to exist and we want peace. When we start peace contacts with the PLO, the hardest think for them was to accept and recognize the state of Israel. They did it after many internal killings and fragmentation. Than and with Barack prime minister in Camp David, they had an offer of the all land back including half of Jerusalem. Arafat at the time had a dead treat dictated by hamas in case the agreement was signed by him.

I let him know his position was one of perdition and that we here in Long Beach California see him as a despotic ruler that took the Bill of rights away from 'We The People' and that it is against nature not to live a common law natured jurisprudence.
Then I look and see that US precision bombs are on the way to Israel...for their added destruction. A voice we have but an ear George Bush does not have!
