Oct. 30, 2006, 9:04 p.m.Rudolph Giuliani is a major league phoney. What did he ever do except for that very brief moment after 9-11? He was a second rate mayor of a big city. Big deal! Before 9-11 he was more famous for his marital problems than his achievements as mayor of New York.

Oct. 31, 2006, 12:54 a.m.Rudy is the MAN! He cleaned up NY like nobody before. Everyone bitched about him when he first started doing it, but once they saw how nice the changes were they started loving him. 9/11 just proved his leadership even more.

Nov. 13, 2006, 9:42 p.m.Guessing no one here actually lived in NYC while G was mayor. Good job on crime. Wrecked the school system. Finished on a high note but 9/11 got him more national props than local. People forget that 9/11 was the date of the primary to select the Dem and Rep candidates fror the next mayor. Primary was canceled. Mayor G floated the notion that the electon should be delayed so he could continue to be Mayor of NY for another 6 months. Was damn near laughed out of the City Council and was met with less than a warm response by the electorate. Primary was rescheduled a few weeks later and Dinkins won the Rep Primary and then won the election. Mayor G had the reputation locally as effective in law enforncement no small thing in NYC but an abrasive and occasionally abusive personality who ******ed people off frequently. WOuld have lost Senate race to Hilary that was prior to 9/11. Not sure how he would fare nationally. Find it hard to belive the Evangelicals would support him.

Feb. 16, 2007, 12:15 p.m.I believe Giuliani winning the nomination on the republican side will be the first big step in retaining the White House for the republicans.
He will have full support of all and even some of those Democrats who just aren't ready for Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
Here in 2007 It is a sad fact but it is there. The fact that there are quite a number of democrats that just can't clear the mud from their
eyes and remove that cover of prejudice from their heart. This will be noted in a number of defections to the republican side, and now
throw Giuliani into the mix.
We will also see those who have been trying to convince themselves that a vote for Hillary or Barack wouldn't be that bad, are
now going to find that they have an option that they themselves could feel good about.
So welcome all to the Republican Party.

Feb. 17, 2007, 8:24 a.m.I hope that Rudy cleans out his closet. How can anyone take him seriously if he has the former Fire Commissioner of New York working for him. Let's not forget Kerik the former Police commissioner too. One is a thief and the other is a moron.
