To mark the web's 15th anniversary, The Guardian is reporting on 15 websites that changed the world. Everything from commercial sites like eBay and Amazon to social collaboratives like Wikipedia and Slashdot made the list.

        "craiglists has evolved into a multi million dollar business", I don't understand, if they rarely have ads, they do everything for free, how do they make money? Where does thie multi million dollar come from?

            friendsreunited.com? salon.com? neevr even heard of them and like bobrboob, im online majority of my day (unfortunately).

            I cant believe mapquest.com isnt on that list. Its one of the most useful sites on the internet. I would be lost (literally) without it.

            Im only 23, I dont understand how people got around without mapquest 10 or 20 years ago

            And google should have been higher and Wikipedia should have been way lower

              Notice the ".uk" on that web address? Them there brits seem to have a few different opinions that we in the U.S. might have.
