Aug. 17, 2006, 7:26 a.m.Ed...The American people( who ever that is...) have already decided them selves that they are stupid, it was shown most graphically on web forums over the last 3 years that they support ,not only the killing of Iraqis,but also the total destruction of the lebanese infrastructure.The fact that NOT ONE American had the guts to stand up in the UN and decry the actions of Israel not only shows a degree of Stupidity,but also the lack of a spine too!!.

Pukes who dont base their opinions on what the government is doing, as long as its "their guy" doing it.

It fails to mention, however, that the legislation that gave Hitler full dictatorial powers came about as a result of the Riechstag (German parlaiment building) being burned down by Hitler's own agents and blamed on "terrorists". It seems to me, and a growing number of people, that 9/11 was America's burning Riechstag, and the Patriot Act is the legislation that abets Bush in his pursuit of absolute power. Fortunately, we don't have to worry about it corrupting him as he was already absolutely corrupt when he got in to office as President.

Aug. 17, 2006, 8:57 a.m.As a nation, I know were just as prone as anyone else to fall into this game but it's highly unlikely. I only felt like it was going to happen during the Clinton fiasco. But there are real terrorists out there who do want to kill us and have already tried. Unless someone thinks they can convince me that Osama bin Laden is and that Iranian leader are fiction, I can't see it. Thank God were not letting the liberals handle the terrorists. Things would really suck then.

All dems and Repubs are not the same or think the same. a lot of us do think Bush has screwed things up royally br invading Iraq for what turned out o be 'no reasons'. I think things are worse for us now after that action and the war on terror has only encouraged more muslims to become terrorists. why aren't we spending the money to secure our borders?

Not to mention the fact that jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough to melt the steel that Underwriters Laboratories certified as being able to withstand airliner impact and temperatures exceeding the burning temperature of jet fuel. Then there is the the thermite residue found at ground zero, and used in professional demolitions, and pretty much nowhere else.
This was all covered at the 9/11 Scholars Symposium on C-SPAN.
The left-right paradigm is no longer valid.

The three branches of Government do check themselves, and with open media channels, CSPAN, eventually most information will get out. The problem we have is the lies coming out of the news media and the continuous recanting of their stories. How can the government be portrayed as honest when the news people can even ask intelligent questions and honest questions? We do not even get an honest story about the NSA process, yet its documented process. Nor do we get truth of Iraq from the news media who claim there is civil war going on...another bogus news story. News people are becoming more ignorant by the day...yet they blame american's. A bogus claim. Bush is not lining up the handicapped and killing them off as Hitler.

There is close to a civil war going on. Look at the violence and deaths every day; even on fox News they show that. Don't balme the media. We can check stories. Blame thos ein charge for screwing things up. why haven't we spent the money on protecting our borders and ports?

It might help if you looked at the site, you would note that it is not a liberal site but a libertarian one. Libertarians believe in government not interfering in the lives of its citizens. They tend to be liberal on personal issues, but on economic issues they tend to be conservative. They oppose socialized medicine, minimum wage laws, labor unions, etc. They would oppose foreign interventionism because it necessitates a)taxation, b)a larger state.
This is not the view of the average contemporary liberal.

Now I've also heard that some Jewishes are being brainwashed by those sneaky rabbis (who have more pipe-curls than Shirley Temple), and as a result, might believe that this movie is somehow anti-Hymie. And since we Evangelical Christians think Mel's new picture is just the neatest thing since sliced room-temperature mayonnaise sandwiches, I'd hate for those people to reach the conclusion that we are not totally fervent in our newfound pretend Jew-loverness. So I hope they trust me when I say, "There's no reason whatsoever for thin-skinned hooknose Christ-killers to worry one iota about this uplifting new cinematic bloodbath." We don't hate them any more than our Lord Jesus, who, of course, is eager to fling them all into Hell.

How so? When Clinton was 'handling' it, the conservative Congress trashed his anti terrorism bill. Do you suppose if they'd paid attention to the needs of our country, rather than Clinton's cheating on his wife, things would have been different around 9/11? I do. Had Rumsfeld heeded Janet Reno's warnings of poor communication (and ego's) between intelligence agencies, do you think the agents warning of suspicious MEs taking flying lessons would have been given priority? I do. If bush had increased airline security when told terrorists were chattering about hijacking, 9/11 may have been averted? I do. This so called 'war' requires brains, not brawn.

So now on netscape if your anchor disagrees with your opinion they change your title, what next they edit your comments (wait that happens too). Op-ed would have more appropriate, not imflammatory. The writer was merely stating opinions base on facts that they researched. I gave up a while back that they were never going to hire me as one of their anchors, and quite frankly I quit caring. But on the other hand I believe that censorship has no place here in a "Social Bookmarking" setting. Thats my two sense.

Aug. 17, 2006, 1:27 p.m.to jordan11; it's very interesting how you rewrite history to place all the blame for our troubles and current war on the present administration.it was the clinton administration that downsized the military and blindfolded the cia and the fbi by not allowing the sharing of information between them. bill clinton had 8 years to deal with terrosit. in that time all he did was show them that if you bloody our nose we will turn tail and run home, remember the movie"black hawk down"?, once they started shooting americans the clinton administration pulled our troops out. there's plenty of blame to go around, the inactions of one administration did flow over onto the next administration. maybe if bill had been paying attention to world affairs instead white house affairs 911 might not have ever happened? THINK about that!

After Pearl Harbor, he rounded up ALL Japanese Americans indiscriminately and held them captive in internment camps, stripped of all possessions. George W. Bush has made no declaration to even authorize racial profiling, yet he is blasted for carrying out legally authorized intelligence tactics to separate the good from the bad. Get your sh*t and history straight before making such ridiculous partisan and hate-fueled comparisons.
