you can be a newspaper delivery person and earn six figures. You can be a carpenter, a plumber, a lawn maintenance guy and earn that much. A six figure income isn't all that much in certain cities.

rich4810 I love it! My father was a long-haul trucker and you would not believe the STUPID things drivers in cars do. They really do think an 18-wheeler can stop on a dime, but despite all the idiotic things other drivers did, he managed to get a million-mile buckle (I don't know if they still give these out-a million accident-free miles). But it was his ability to look out for the dunces that made it possible. It is a tough life for both driver and family, but he managed to raise and educate a bunch of girls. I see trucks or any big rig and I give them all the room they need (also, have you ever seen a driver make a right-hand turn in FRONT of a bus? Everyday, and these things cannot stop on a dime either)

Litigation support is another 6 figure job title that is easy to obtain. I have no college and only a few certifications and I managed to pull in 115K last year. I am now a Project Manager with a big legal services company and am pulling in a base of 100K with at least 25K in bonuses expected this year.

Easiest money I ever made. Look into it.

Meimei53:I have talked to a number of professionals that have been the victims of age discrimination. I myself went up the ranks until the company brought in bean counters to ease older workers with bigger pay checks out the door and replace them with younger workers with little experience. This may work for a short-term gain to the company books, but over time when these younger workers had to produce real time the company ended up losing market share.

I saw this a couple of days ago...

Life coach is one of the careers, but how many life coaches can there be?

Real estate has been very good for my sister as well. She is in the business. But with many markets starting to slow, it doesn't seem to be the safest bet.
