Gen. Batiste: Rumsfeld ‘Served Up Our Great Military A Huge Bowl of Chicken Feces’ - Video »

Posted by: TimALoftis 3 years, 2 months ago

Today on MSNBC, retired General John Batiste — former commander of the First Infantry division in Iraq — said that it was “outrageous” Rumsfeld was still in charge of the Pentagon. Batiste added, “He served up our great military a huge bowl of chicken feces, and ever since then, our military and our country have been trying to turn this b

Rummy and the rest of the despicable idiots running this country should be forced to eat a bowl of chicken feces everyday for the rest of their miserable little lives. That's just for breakfast...I'll work on the rest of their diet later.

I love how these Generals always wait until they are retired to air their dissent. Yeah, I understand - once retired they no longer have to follow the chain of command, and can question orders - but still. I just wish one of the Non-retired Generals would take the obvious next (revolutionary?) step to bringing our country back in line with the constitution.

We really do need a war hero right about now.

From everything I've read and heard of Rummy, I've come to the conclusion that America needs him. First off, nobody knows how to make chickshit soup the way he does. Nor market it which such passion across the entire face of the globe that people everywhere can easily smell the stink of bird excrement everytime America's name is mentioned. Nor profit from it with such savvy since every bowl served makes others want to kill us for it. My vote for America's Birdshit Soupmaker of the Year Award goes to Rummy!

Its so good to see you finally coming around to the fact the rummy and his bush gang are evil! I was really worried for a while that you were mistakenly walking the path of the unrighteous sinners by worshiping the false idol that is the current administration. And compounding your sin of idol worship by defending their immoral actions! Im so happy for you to have seen the light of the Lord.

Here is a person that was Walking the Walk, and when he shares his honest opinions that this war was based on crap and now all we are tying to do is make that crappy war more appetizing. His message was simple Rummy needs to go, he is ineffective with his planning and implementation.

It is funny to see how the supporters of the president and his unqualified cronnies react. They have been trained by Rush, Ann, Sean and the other shrill right wing radio and TV nutso's to attack the person rather than the message. No class responses from no class people.

The fact is -he was in Irak and was privy to the tactical and strategic policies issued by Rumsfeld and co.

What he says is only surprising by its bluntness. We have had generals on active duty expressing-appropriatly- their disageement before (especially on the number of troops committed).

It is funny to see chickenhawks here who have never worn a uniform, and never been to Irak make these ludicrous comments.

It is plain to see that Irak,as it is now,is a failure. The almost comical aspect is that we were carefull,at the beginning of the war,to display the image of 'impartiality' and did not want Israel to appear to be involved,on one hand, while making the claim the regime change in Irak would bring a resolution of the palestinian issue...the support we gave to Israel in its disastrous Lebanese operation is the surest sign that it is indeed a giant bowl of chickenhawk poopoo.

Many in the military leadership were against the troop deployment which Rumsfeld pushed in the Iraq War. This involved the rejection of the standing plans developed by General Anthony Zinni following Desert Fox. It called for a much heavier deployment. You might remember the controversy around General Shinseki comments just prior to the war.

Rumsfeld because of the initial successes during the Afghan war became fascinated with the idea that small fast units could substitute for slower larger units. The military believed, and I believe rightly, that this was a prescription for the very difficulties we saw in the occupation. In an occupation it is boots on the ground that matter not speed.

Any one who can't see that Iraq is a failed policy is still wearing blinders. There are only 2 options that are available to us.

                                          1. increase our troops in Iraq to the level that we can take total control of the country, stablize it, completely rebuild it, and hope the populace comes around (this is what should have been done in the first place, except of course not to go there[what really should have been done])

                                          2. Leave and let the chip fall were they may (almost certain disaster)

At this point either choice is not likely to succeed.

The General at this point could have written a book going either way (if that is his intention) If he supported the war as it is he would have all the right wing publicity that he could want. Rush, Ann Coulter, and Foux news would be running him constantly trying to push their agenda.

It is so hard and rare for a General to speak with such candor..........being close to the situation, he obviously knows the behind the scenes actions of the Sec. and the fallout (retribution) that may follow. This is the act of a brave American further letting us know we are being led by uncompetents who are getting our children killed, wasting Billions of our dollars, causing untold harm on our reputation around the world and making the world and us much less safe. I am starting to see how this will play out after the 06 elections if the Democrats regain control over one or both houses of congress. Some republican member will propose reinstitution the draft. To keep the military from completely collapsing the bill will be passed by congress and signed by a reluctant Bush. This will be the I told you so argument that democrats are the folks responsible for the draft going into the 08 presidential elections.
