Feb. 10, 2008, 11:47 a.m.Sure, the extremists are dangerous. So are extremists who qualify their remarks by dragging an entire religion into it. He didn't say extremists. He spoke about the religion itself. You can't possibly miss the difference.

Oct. 9, 2006, 10 p.m.fta: For in claiming that Islam may be beyond reason, and then to claim that to act without reason is to act contrary to the will of God, is pretty close to the assertion that this religion is godless.
in addition, he is not distinguishing between "extremist" muslims and "ordinary" muslims. they are all in the same box.
