I knew Adrienne Shelly. Not well, but as well as any NY theatre hack who stays in the city and works in the summer. Ms. Shelly was in a production of "BUDD," an indie play by an indie NY playwright, years ago, that I stage managed, playing the lead and title role and drawing an audience every night to an evening that - without her - would have been ordinary. She was talented, ambitious (in the perfect way), and kind. I will miss her screaming talent, generous manner, and personal stamp that was one of those that made NYC NYC.

My condolences to her family and friends...

I was just a fan, always loved the way the portrayed her characters.

All my warmest thoughts for her family and friends.
