Nov. 6, 2006, 7:44 p.m."Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip" is a great show and this two-part episode sounds pretty good. If you haven't had a chance to watch, it has all the great banter of Sorkin's "Sports Night" and the dramatic qualities of "The West Wing."
Bradley Whitford, Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet, Timothy Busfield, D.L. Hughley, Steven Weber, Sarah Paulson, Nathan Corddry, et. al., make up an awesome ensemble. The guest stars are outstanding as well. Musical performances (i.e. ~ Sting doing an acoustic song) are phenom!
NBC is considering canceling the show rather than giving it a chance to attract viewers. If this show is axed, NBC deserves to be in fourth place perpetually!
Monday nights at 9 PM EST on NBC.

Nov. 6, 2006, 8:52 p.m.It IS a great show! Very entertaining and fast paced, just as I would imagine a live production would be.
If you haven't seen it, give it a try - 10 PM eastern, Monday on NBC.

Nov. 6, 2006, 10:50 p.m.The West Wing writers should have done this about a newspaper or at least a television newscast. Not some dumb SNL-alike that gets less viewers than Jeopardy and matters even less.

Nov. 6, 2006, 10:06 p.m.Ah, the truth in the dumbing down of America! Cancel an intelligent, funny, insightful, thoughtful program and replace it with "Deal Or No Deal" or some other mindless drivel.
Thank god for cable and HBO.

Nov. 6, 2006, 10:47 p.m.I agree that the show should be cancelled. They take things so seriously on the show that you think that the fate of the country is at stake if they don't air a joke. Come on.

Nov. 7, 2006, 9:13 a.m.It is amazing that some people only want mindless drivel like American Idle (satirical reference). These ditto heads can not understand anything that is presented in words of two syllables or more. This show has tackled real problems from the idiocy of the christian right to the blacklist, which the extreme right is trying to resurrect, the Dixie Chicks for example.

Nov. 7, 2006, 8:20 a.m.This is a smart and funny show. It's a hit! If you don't like it then just don't watch. There you go. Don't watch. Disney is releasing the Director's cut of Bambi this week, check that out. (Ooohhhh, It's a nail biter!)

Nov. 7, 2006, 12:35 p.m.I love this show and think Mathew Perry is a terrific actor. I have a question. Two posters, Blargg and dancpsu would like this show cancelled. Why??? I can understand your not liking it (we all have our personal tastes) I can understand your not watching it if you don't like it, but why would you want to see it cancelled? Does it harm you in any way? Don't you have other things to watch, or better still don't you have other things to do if it's on? Does it bother you that other people like it? Why would you want to see one show out of thousands cancelled? Can't you just switch channels?

Nov. 7, 2006, 4:30 p.m.I love the show now but didn't before. I felt most of the episodes we'd seen were too heavy on the liberal preaching & teaching, too light on subtle language, and almost completely void of plot substance. Last night's episode changed all of that for me. It's what my script-writing guru calls "a 3rd episode pilot." THIS is what Mr. Sorkin should have led with. I didn't need all the build-up of Matt & Harriet's relationship nor to even know up front that she was Christian. This episode told me everything about each character that I needed to know, and now I can't wait for next week. Long live "Studio 60"!!!

Nov. 8, 2006, 11:11 a.m.Great interview guys! I love this show. While I'm not always a big fan of Mr. Sorkins views, he does make a great show. I also loved the reversed out Bartlet poster in the mirror.
