Dec. 6, 2006, 10:43 p.m.I just have to say the friends side bar has changed the way I use Netscape. I think this is the killer feature... it makes me want to add more friends.
It makes it so easy to find what my friends are talking about.
It makes me want to get more involved in the site.
In fact, I bet many of my friends have found this comment because they refreshed the their Friends Activity bar!!!
How many people found this via the friends bar anyway!?!?!
PS - Please tell other folks to add this extension!

I did. I completely agree that this extension can change the way you use Netscape - it makes the massive amount of data so much more accessible.

Dec. 6, 2006, 11:03 p.m.Oh snap... I just noticed Netscape devs has a little icon to the lefto their names and Navigators have a little icon too!
that is soooooo hot.
when you hover over them it should explain what they are about...
you guys are doing an amazing job and it's clear the stats are going up and the quality of the site is going up.
users get the concept and the focus on *news* is really helping.
NETSCAPE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!
ps - What's the next extension!?!?!?

Dec. 6, 2006, 11:22 p.m.I would love to have "On Deck..." stories in the sidebar as an option. So, i see my friends activity up top and below it "On Deck."
What do you guys think?
good use of space?

Dec. 7, 2006, 11:56 a.m.Does the stalker button, er...friends activity button only work on mutual friends, or for all friends? I LOVE this one. I get to zing in and vote before they know what's hit them, lol! I'm sure they'll think I'm a stalker ;)

Dec. 7, 2006, 2:14 p.m.While not a new extension per se (though it could be one), one thing I'd like to see on the site is some sort of notification that additional comments have been posted in a thread I've already commented in. I end up needlessly revisiting threads when there are no new replies.
You could even take it one step further and have a 'Comments' tab in user profiles and have sections such as:
- New Comments on My Submissions
- Friends Comments
- New Comments in Threads I've Posted In
- New Replies To My Posts
(In the meantimes, I'll try to remember the current # of comments in this thread, and if I see the tiny # change I'll hunt for the new comment. argh.)

Dec. 7, 2006, 2:21 p.m.I like that idea too. It would eliminate useless backtracking to search for new comments.

Dec. 7, 2006, 4:37 p.m.If you use RSS, you can subscribe to an RSS feed for each story you want to monitor by clicking on the orange "rss" link next to the "1 - 50 of 50 Comments" header. For example, the RSS feed for these comments is http://tech.netscape.com/story/2006/12/06/browser-
Definitely some good ideas there though for better user-friendliness.
