Sprint to Cut 5,000 Jobs; Stock Plunges »

(AP) -- Sprint Nextel Corp. reported Monday that its cell phone business suffered a net loss of 300,000 monthly subscribers in the fourth quarter and that the struggling wireless company will cut 5,000 jobs.     They need to really speed up the WiMax Deployment, and should consider using Sim Card based cell phones. I heard a recent talk by a VP and he felt they knew what a customer wants so they limit the choices of what types of phones. I guess 300k leaving is a clear indicator that they know what they are doing.

      Worst wireless customer service ever!!!!!! I manage a business that uses sprint and nextel and I cant tell you how many hours I've spent on the phone with thier customer "don't give a" care, and not gotten a thing accomplished! It's horrible!

            Well, I have Verizon, but for my friends that have Sprint & Nextel, they all agree- reception and service sucks!!!

              i cant imagine sprint losing so many customers. considering they owe me 154.00 and have given me three diffrent answers to when it was mailed. it got so bad i had to contact the bbb and they still have not gotten back to them on an answer. and i still have not recieved the money owed to me. you get people that you cant under stand. they lie. and then tell you something diffrent on the next phone call. i have spoken with a total of 25 people in a 15 day period and each one of them had a diffrent answer. HEY SPRINT WHERE IS MY MONEY?

                I use Sprint and have always found their service to be excellent. I've never had a problem with them.
