Jan. 12, 2007, 2:38 p.m.While Democrats celebrated the House's first female speaker, Jewish membership reached an all-time high in Congress -- "another milestone passed more quietly" says Washington Post Staff Writer, Elizabeth Williamson. So? Am I missing the point?

Jan. 12, 2007, 3:17 p.m.In addition to the Muslim, we also have two Bhuddists. Hooray, I say. Now, if they will only get a Reform Druid in there, we'll have something going on.

Jan. 12, 2007, 6:14 p.m.Do you think we will ever be a moderating force in the middle east? I don't think so!
To be the policeman of the world, (If you want to be)a more pragmatic and moderate stand must be taken to help achieve peace in the middle east.
With the increase of Jewish based U.S. representative's like Senator Lieberman, the agenda will be more strife within the Arab world. Is this what the average American looks forward to. Its time for American's to be less biased towards the arab world in their policies.

"With the increase of Jewish based U.S. representative's like Senator Lieberman, the agenda will be more strife within the Arab world. Is this what the average American looks forward to." (That was a question or a statment?)
There are many Jewish representatives that differ from Senator Lieberman's views. Why do you base your conclusions on the assumption that his views are the result of his ethnicity and that this threatens average Americans? Actually, there are more Democrats who oppose Lieberman's views regarding foreign policy.
Or is it that you feel having Jews represent the U.S. antagonizes Arabs?

Jan. 12, 2007, 7:49 p.m.Your contention that Jewish politicians lead to strife with the arab world is specious reasoning.
What leads to strife with the arab world are actions, not whether or not we elect Jews or Christians or Buddhists.
To suggest that all Jews think as one is as ridiculous as suggesting that all Americans think as one.

Jan. 12, 2007, 6:57 p.m.Spadecaller, Do you disagree that Americas policy has been, (as Bill O'Reilly says) fair and balanced? I hope you do not say it is? All the arabs will say not.
Senator Lieberman has always been a strong advocate of Israel to the detriment of a moderate course in the Middle East, Can you not agree on this?
A Morman takes care of other Mormans, an arab will take care of another arab, Do you dispute a Jewish Represenative will not then take care of another fellow? Give me a break if you say No.
That is how the world operates. Hopefully, American policy can see through this flaw of human nature and direct their course in the right direction, as a moderating influence in the middle east, not as a biased player.

Jan. 12, 2007, 7:16 p.m.I have already posed you some question that you are avoiding answering. I'm not exchanging ideas with Bill O'Reilly; I questioned your reasoning that we are handicapped in our foreign policy because there are Jews like Lieberman in Congress...

Jan. 12, 2007, 7:09 p.m.According to Nelson, our country would be better off without Jews holding political office, as they threaten relations with Arab nations.
Some Arab countries treat their women as objects and do not offer them the same respect as men. Perhaps we should eliminate the women from holding politcal office in our government too.
Israel, one of our allies, may have difficulty dealing with Muslims, who are representatives in our Congress. Perhaps we should eliminate them from holding office, as well.
If we were to follow NeslonR's recommendations, we might end up with a White-Anglo-Saxon-Protestant Congress and government, or no one. Would that reflect the kind of America you want?
On that note, we should throw away those stupid doucments ... called the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. WE will on longer need to pledge our allegiance to the flag; "with liberty and justice for all" would no longer apply.
Any other good ideas, Nelson?

Jan. 12, 2007, 7:23 p.m.Did I read the title correctly of this article: "Jewish Membership in Congress at All-Time High"?
Or did it read, "Should there be Jews in Congress like Joe Lieberman?"
Nelson: You might be able to find the title of the second article by consulting the American Nazi Party. I have read quite a few of those pieces. They support your ideas wholeheartedly.

Jan. 12, 2007, 7:42 p.m.Another reason to not discuss this issue with you. I am so tired of whenever a jewish questions arises, ANTI SEMITE is inferred. You have a real problem with avoiding the real issue and inferring with unreasonable argument that the other person is a anti-semite. Get a life and answer my questions posed, or else, suffer in ignorance.

It is your choice to discuss the subject or blow up. But most fascist extemists cannot calmly discuss their opinions when the fallacy of their sick ideology is uncovered. They usually start with the insults (ignorance etc.) and then run away while throwing their little stones.
If you don't agree with some of the individual views of our representatives, that is one thing. To conclude that their ethnicity (as you do)is the problem, is flawed with obvious prejudice.
If you don't care to discuss it calmly, and would prefer to blame me for "inferring" that you are anti-semitic, that is your choice.
From your statements I did, in fact, suspect that you were showing anti-semitic views, and now that you have brought up the term yourself, I am convinced. NO reason to infer it anymore.

Jan. 12, 2007, 7:56 p.m.The issue I see being raised is whether electing Jews damages our middle east policy either through creating an impression (to arabs) that we are electing Jews so we must agree with a falavious and untrue "zionist" policy or because these elected Jews all think the same way and can be counted on to pursue pro-Israeli policies.
NelsonR you are not the only person questioning whether elected Jews have a "dual loyalty", but this sort of reasoning is not new. When Pres. Kennedy was elected many publicly commented that you could not have a Catholic president, because he would do whatever the Pope told him to do!
Obviously ridiculous. You're contention that Jews have a dual loyalty is an equally baseless accusation. This is the second time I have quite recently read someone trying to infer that Jews are responsible for the Iraq war.
Talk about suffering in ignorance.

Jan. 12, 2007, 8:35 p.m.Then in your distorted reasoning Senator Lieberman is acting in the interest of Americans, rather than his own Democratic party. Irregardless of the death of American soldiers his true interest, you say, is with our troops.
What is wrong with the premise that our Government act moderately when confronting the Middle East.
Spin all you want on irrelevent matters, the facts substantiate that our Government has been biased towards Israel to our detriment concerning world opinion.
President Carter is right in his new Book. Apartheid is at work in the middle east and it will continue to be so until a change of direction is instituted by our government. Not by Israeli lobbyist.

Jan. 12, 2007, 8:59 p.m.Nelson:
The old saying: a little knowlege in the wrong hands is dangerous applies to you.
What does Lieberman's Jewishness have to do with it? That was your original complaint. Did you forget?
There are at least 50 or more reps who share the same views that Lieberman has, but you chose to dicuss Lieberman and described any other "Jews like him", when you opened up this line of sick reasoning.

Jan. 13, 2007, 7:27 a.m.Israel has owned and controlled America from behind the scenes for a long time now, so they may as well do it out in the open. The Jewish lobby is the strongest in the world, and only rarely will a politician get up the stones to go against their wishes. What Israel wants, Israel gets, without regard to the consequences to America. We are dying in Iraq because it was demanded by Israel, and we will soon be dying in Iran for the same reason. Two percent of the population is Jewish, yet all of us have to pay a Jewish tax on our food to make it Kosher. The Muslims don't hate us because we are free, they hate us because we supply the planes, bombs and guns that kill their people. Want proof? Read Jimmy Carter's new book. Jan. 13, 2007, 9:27 a.m.This is sick stuff, honeydripper. This comes from one of your recommended links which is a typical white supremacist nazi site. On of your links is listed as "The Official Website of Representative David Duke, PhD".
The kind of "information" found on the site promotes the insideious doctrine of eugenics. (Note: Eugenics was a popular theory in the early twentieth century but is no longer taken seriously, primarily because of the horrors of the eugenic efforts of the Nazi regime in Germany.)
David Duke writes:
"Over the past few centuries the clear racial differences have faded, but one can still notice the lighter hues and taller statures of the higher castes."
honeydripper: your agenda of hate is apparent and your mentors are all admitted supremacists. Go to work for the president of Iran, he could use your services... and take your sick neo-nazi propaganda with you.

Jan. 13, 2007, 2:08 p.m.Cont.. At least in the USA, unlike other countries, we can still question the holocaust without going to jail. Anything that disagrees with the jewish line is hate speech isn't it? You can't even argue the facts, you have to resort to personal attack. Grow up, get real, and face reality. Truth is truth, like it or not! When the people read my comments, then read yours, then go research the topics, they are going to see which one of us is being truthful. So go ahead, comment some more, as the more you squawk, the more attention you will bring, and the more the truth will get spread!

Jan. 13, 2007, 2:12 p.m.Why don't you comment on the other sources, are they sick and hateful too? If the truth hurts, then change it. Is the Kosher Nostra fair? Why should I have to pay $1 out of every $20 of my food bill just to feed the extortion racket of rabbis? That is covert, hidden, THEFT! In fact, 98% of the population have to pay hundreds of extra dollars each year just to get a little kosher mark on their food boxes that they don't give a damn about, and they don't even know it! There is a lot of people who would rather have that exra money to buy food with, IF THEY WERE GIVEN THE CHOICE!!! What's even worse, is now the Kosher Nostra is extorting food companies to have non-food items like waxed paper and aluminum foil blessed by a rabbi, or whatever the hell he does, what kind of crap is that? Is that fair, making everybody else pay for your 2% of the population? You can say what you want about me, but you're not going to stop others from reading and learning the truth. Cont..

Jan. 13, 2007, 2:20 p.m.Hey Spadecaller,
Since you think that Jimmy Carter and Congressman Paul Finley are all sick, how about Harry Truman?
"The Jews, I find, are very, very selfish. They care not how many Estonians, Latvians, Finns, Poles, Yugoslavs or Greeks get murdered or mistreated as D[isplaced] P[ersons] as long as the Jews get special treatment. Yet when they have power, physical, financial or political neither Hitler nor Stalin has anything on them for cruelty or mistreatment to the under dog". --US President Harry Truman, who presided over the end of WWII and its aftermath: From Truman's personal diary, 1947
