Jan. 18, 2007, 11:56 a.m.No, it's not a surprise. They're relearning lessons that we've known for generations. You'd think we could sell them some of our pollution-abatement technology.

Jan. 31, 2007, 6:45 p.m.The mounting effects of China's pollution over North America is becoming frighteneing. Canada's Artic is one of the fastest warming areas on the globe and if the perma frost melts it will release huge amounts of co^2 into the atmosphere creating cycles of even more warming. There's not much we can do if China isn't required to do anything under Kyoto. The Kyoto Protocol is an agreement made under the United Nations Framework Convention, and it needs amending to include one of the most prolific polluting nations, China. But then we all know what the UN stands for.
