Jan. 18, 2007, 8:48 p.m.The Police Officers who committed this crime should be in Jail.. In south Florida a teenager who did not stop for an id check on a school cmpus was shot dead by a Police Officer??? The teenager is in a grave while the good Police nut case is alive and well??? How sad....
There are far too many Nut Case Police officers with Guns and tasers????
Imagine handcuffed and still the Police Nut case still users his/her tasar weapon??? In Florida people have died as the result of Nut case Police officers using tasars...
All you need is high school education, and you can apply for Police training...

Jan. 19, 2007, 9:20 a.m.The cops should be charged with assault with a deadly weapon, and hate crimes.
Why would any university hire cops from community college, anyways?

Jan. 19, 2007, 9:47 a.m.To bad they did not ask a Mexican or an Asian for his ID , then we could have had a really good show. Just think because this dumb bastard did not show his ID he got tasered ; think of the street protest if it had been an Illegal mexican. Then the president of the USA would have been in LA decrying the anti american actions of the keystone cops. Not that I care one way or the other about an Iranian ,the ones that I have met were arrogant punks ( back when the shah was in power), but I still wonder if the Iranian embassy will send a diplomatic broadsheet to our state Dept. like mexico would.

Jan. 19, 2007, 10:43 a.m.The kid only had to show his student I.D. and none of this would have happened. The campus police are charged with maintaining the security of ALL students on the campus and the surrounding dorms. EVERY student is issued an I.D. and you agree to show that I.D. whenever and wherever a campus security officer asks for it. How were they to know that he is bi-polar? I suppose they could require every student to wear an identifying badge that would show the police who is "normal" and who is not! But that would be "profiling" and demeaning to anyone suffering from some disorder, and the liberals would force an end to that. Or, they could simply ask for I.D's and expect the students to provide that!

Jan. 19, 2007, 10:54 a.m.Even with you simplistic train of thought(just obey, just obey, just obey...). I'd like you to explain the use of the tazer more than once.
It is obvious you lack understanding of certain aspects of bi-polar behaviour, the use of a tazer and its subsequent effcts on the phyisology of a person who has been tazered, also the areas pertaing to self-defense, and justifyable force in a legally binding manner.

Jan. 19, 2007, 11:57 a.m.What was the student doing to warrant questioning for the ID, was he drawing some sort of attention to himself?
Also is Bi-polar disease covered under the ADA?

Jan. 20, 2007, 8:33 p.m.No, the American Dental Association realized the fact that everyone is uncomfortable with a visit to the dentist. Therefore they provide novacaine, happy gas, and do not check your ID at the door.

Jan. 19, 2007, 12:13 p.m.We are raising a nation of angry, arrogant, spoiled little shiits who think they have the right to question all authority, then when they get the head-thumping they deserve they turn around and sue (and will probably win). Okay, so this little prick was from Iran. I still stand by my point.
I agree the campus cops didn't need to taser him. It was probably some juiced-out muscle head that couldn't make it as a real cop. 'Roid rage, maybe. But the kid still needs to show his ID. Doesn't matter what for, or that they didn't ask anyone else to see their ID's.
And quit using bipolar (ADHD, PTSD, et al) as license to act like an asswhole. Grow the eff up.

Jan. 19, 2007, 12:42 p.m."when they get the head-thumping they deserve" "they turn around and sue" you're absolutely right. I say since you agree in your second paragraph that tazering the student was wrong, the student gets to take tazer shots at the "juiced-out muscle head"

Jan. 19, 2007, 12:59 p.m.He has a duty to sue. Lots of cops act like this and they need to go to jail and learn their lesson.
They kept tazering him even when he was handcuffed. He kept yelling stop it, I can't stand up. Watch the tape. How would you feel if he was your brother, your son, or your father?

Jan. 19, 2007, 2:35 p.m.If it was my brother, son or father the first thing I would do is ask him why in hell he didn't just show the cop his ID. Then I would chalk the whole thing up to one more block-headed move by my brother/son/father.

Jan. 19, 2007, 1:10 p.m.As usual our brave police officers do more harm than good. Where it was the last time when police helped you in any way? The only occasion when I see a cop is when I get speeding or parking ticket. When one is in trouble they are not around to help.

Jan. 20, 2007, 5:29 p.m.Woman, be careful, if you did not do anything Wrong for a Cop to pull you over and proceed to control your actions, CALL 911 and get a COP Supervisor, he may not help, but, a least you have more than one Cop you can name if they harass or arrest You (be careful in Florida) for no reason....
There are too many Out-Of-Balance Cop's out their who did not get the correct Police training....
It's not right and sad, but they all stick together like the Blue Wall Of 'S---'...
The Corrupt police officers should be in JAIL...
In New York City, the good Police Shot 51 Bullets into a car with 3 Unarmed men.. They were trying to Kill them.. One was shot DEAD, two were wounded...
What Nut cases these POLICE Officers were... In my humble opinion, the NYC Police will protect their Nut cases to the end even if they murdered an innocent man .
Protect Yourself...
Sincerely,

Sept. 18, 2007, 11:45 a.m.Emphatically, absolutely the student should sue--and win his case.
If you see the video of the event, you see that the only thing the student threatened was the decorum of the meeting. The incident WAS CREATED BY THE POLICE. The guy keeps screaming, "What have I done, what have I done?" as the cops restrain and then taser him.
Answer: he's exercised his right as a free American to challenge a politician in an open forum.
This outrages me.
