Posted by: Spadecaller 2 years, 11 months ago

It is not clear whether Mr Cheney will appear in court in person or give evidence by video-conference. Either way, however, his cross-examination by the special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, one of the most tenacious lawyers in the US, could be a courtroom clash for the age.

Cheney has shown a "teflon coating" all along. And they called Nixon "Tricky Dick". Indeed.

"In the end, however, the outcome may not greatly matter. If Mr Libby is convicted, it is widely expected he will be pardoned by President Bush."

So, the only risk I see is if Fitzgerald is foolish enough to go hunting with Cheney.

For Bush to not want to renew the domestic surveillance program, I can only assume that he is getting nervous about investigations leading to his door.

IF ONLY the prosecutor could quiz Mr. Cheney on matters not directly related to the case, HALIBURTON NO BID CONTRACTS IN IRAQ, would be a start. Hopefully this skimming of America will be heard soon in the congressional oversight committee meetings.

Not only can't Cheney shoot straight but I think his hands will be caught in the cookie jar.

Cheney is even worse than a joke - he is manipulative, a liar, and he is evil as far as I am concerned.

He probably won't testify in person - he is "too busy" or "too important" to be subjected to such a tedius and annoying process (in his mind ....).
