To guarantee the states retained critical rights, the tenth amendment said, 'All the power that is not expressly delegated to the federal government is reserved for the states.' The intent? The people -- i.e. the states -- have delegated power. They gave up some powers, but they did not give up all powers because they are sovereign states."

    This is disgusting and frightening to say the least. Lest any state "ban Islam" or "ban Judaism" not only will it violate the very 1st pillar of the Constitution on freedom of religion. And as the Civil War taught us the Constitution must be protected and guarded jealously against all enemies both foregin AND DOMESTIC!

      14th Amendment

      Sect. 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law, nor deny any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

      One of our privileges as citizens of this country is freedom of religion. Guess you forgot that.
