Jan. 21, 2007, 7:05 p.m.I am certain that keeping him in that kind of isolation has taken it's toll...

Jan. 21, 2007, 7:27 p.m.1300 days in isolation and being treated and mistreated constantly, has got to have an affect on anyone. He was obviously not guilty of the accused crime, so he is certainly entitled to his day in court now. I hope he sticks it to the administration good.

Jan. 21, 2007, 7:46 p.m.Catestevens:If he were caught red handed, as it was reported, then why does the government drop the charges to lesser charges of support for teerorism? Obviously, they did not catch him. But here's anyother, more obscure view, What if he's innocent? And What if a frog had wings. The fact is he didn't do anything and it was only alleged that he had planned anything. The government is not satisfied with their case and have dropped the original charges. I would like to see people receive trials before we decide to imprison them and mistreat them, silly concept, I know.

Jan. 21, 2007, 11:31 p.m.For a very long time people have been saying that this kind of treatment couldn't happen to an American citizen. It seems as though they have been proven wrong. Thanks to our present administration America is no longer the "home of the free". Pray that this administration doesn't concider you an "enemy combatant", for this may surely happen to you if it does.

Jan. 22, 2007, 7:09 p.m.I cannot say whether he is guilty or if he is innocent. That is none of our jobs, it is the job of a jury of whom are either persuaded or not by a prosecutor. What I do know is that in our constitution, specifically in the 5th and 6th amendments, something known as due process is defined and it is explicitly stated that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty... without due process. The acts of this administration which have essentially been aimed at the deprivation of and deconstruction of our constituion are horribly asinine. I believe when someone breaks the law he is a criminal. Bush has broken the law, repeatedly, and therefor is nothing more then a vicuous criminal.
