Jan. 23, 2007, 9 a.m.Sounds kinda boring, going by the description they give. Plus, there has been enough movies made about the war. And there are enough familys having to go thriugh this "for real" and I'm sure crap movies like this dont help matters any.
But , thats my opinion! Like it, or ignore it.

Jan. 23, 2007, 9:25 a.m.Have we really had "enough movies made about the war"? How many is "enough" and how do you know it is "crap" if you have never seen it? In my mind, we will have had "enough movies made about" the war when the american public has not only decided it was wrong and immoral, as they overwhelmingly have, based on the ELECTION RESULTS, but also have come to the conclusion that the Bushco junta, ALL it's members, including colin powell, need to be tried for war crimes and treason. I, for one will not settle for less. Sorry I could not "ignore" your comment, addict, it was just too damn ignorant to let slide. On one hand, you call the movie "crap" because it deals with the agony of losing a family member to the war, and in the same breath, you say that too many families have to go through it "for real". Does that not make the movie very topical and relevant to people who could use some understanding and empathy?

Jan. 23, 2007, 10:47 a.m.Sundance is just another liberal soapbox at this point. With 12 y/o little girls getting raped and horses getting screwed as some of the highlight movie moments this year, I think I will take a pass. Redford has seriously fallen off the deep end.

Jan. 23, 2007, 12:42 p.m.Actor's should stay away from politics. It ruins the movies that they appeared in.
If you're not careful, you'll end up spiritually bankrupt like Susan Surandon and her gay husband.

Jan. 23, 2007, 2:04 p.m.Ahhh, you silly Neo-Cons. So busy trying to soften the blow of anything that would point out flaws in your shallow way of life. Funny, the article points out that the movie stays away from heavy handed political statements. But even bringing up loss is too much for you guys unless it's part of some jingoistic propaganda drivel, vomited up by your half-wit leader.
Maybe Sundance has gotten a little silly because of the new generation Paris Hilton style celebs that dominate it's ranks now...but those clowns are a product of YOUR class and creed. The new breed of celebrity hack are brought to you by FOX and the super rich. Don't blame the liberals, they hate them more than you.
Maybe a new Sundance will pop up that all you "Cons" can enjoy...sponsored by Chuck Norris and Ted Nugent, it only has war movies that we win in it, and Bible stories, and Republican actors.
At least Vail isn't too far away and people could ski...

Jan. 26, 2007, 12:20 a.m.StarPoet, I am surprised at your not only calling people names but slandering them as well. You call anybody you dont like gay? What does that prove? Like their politics or not, both actors you demean are intelligent and excellent at thier craft.
And being an actor doesn't require you forfeit your rights as an american citizen.
Weren't you the guy who was funny a couple month ago?
