Man kills daughter, 17, he suspected of having sex »
Posted by: moemebe 2 years, 11 months agoAMMAN, Jordan - A Jordanian man fatally shot his 17-year-old daughter whom he suspected of having sex despite a medical exam that proved her chastity, an official said Thursday. The man surrendered to police hours after the killing, saying he had done it for family honor.

Jan. 25, 2007, 7:33 p.m.Where is the "honor" of killing your own daughter even if she did have sex? Is the father "God Almighty" who is the only entity capable of judgement? This makes me sick to my stomach. I am sure of one thing. This man will burn in hell, just as all the so called "Martyr" terrorist around the world will. No man or woman has the right to end the life of another human being, period.

In america we can have an unwed teeenage mother and no one cares. there you are killed if they THINK you had sex. do you understand that our ways of life are so different we may never be friends? This poor girl is just one of many who suffer under this sort of society.

Jan. 26, 2007, 11:43 a.m.This whole area illustrates the lack of a real doctrine of forgiveness in Islam. Can you imagine believing that your children are beyond forgiveness to the point where you are required to kill them to redeem your "honor"?
There was a case in Los Angeles a few years ago where a Middle Eastern immigrant father killed a daughter on the basis of gossip that wasn't true, and couldn't figure out why it was illegal.

Jan. 26, 2007, 11:52 a.m.Hmmmmm...Kill the guy who did a "disrespectful" cartoon, kill Salman Rushdi, kill a daughter who "may have had sex". And we are supposed to accept Islam as a "beautiful religion of peace." By their fruits shall ye know them. While Western Civ. isn't perfect, we do try to protect citizens from that sort of madness. Unfortunately, religion doesn't. Christians have the inquisition, Jews have an entire OT full of reasons why you can kill your kid or your neighbor, Islam just allows killing of anyone who may or may not have offended someone or something. Thank God for the atheistic, secular state!! ;)
