Too bad Daniel over at MotherJones couldn't have made Saddam stop being such a meany.

I'm sure he could have pulled it off perfectly.

Maybe he could get to work on Iran so they start playing nice with others. Oh, and Syria and North Korea too.

If he can't think of any mistakes we made in Iraq, maybe I can remind him? How about going there in the first damn place? He knew it was wrong and was indeed a mistake when he took part in the BIG LIE to get us into that war. He also knew it was a mistake when he exposed the CIA agent to punish her husband for trying to expose the truth.

Perhaps he is being honest, and really can't think of any mistakes? After all, he has personally profited by every day, dollar, and life, wasted on this evil war. So as the caskets continue to roll in, so do his checks from Halliburton!

Mistakes, what mistakes? From a personal financial perspective, he has handled the whole thing flawlessly!

"Cheney has misled himself. And that's just as dangerous."

And that's it in a nutshell. Cheney believes in his own lies. And believing in those lies he is completely unable to see truth, no matter how many *facts* and *realities* are thrown in his face.

Dick Cheney is a disillusioned old man whose time has passed. He is still living in the tell the geeks anything and they'll believe it days.

What he does not realize is that all of us little fools out here just plain don't believe everything he says. His disillusion stems from his deep belief if any lie is told often enough people will start to believe it to be truth. I do not believe this obtains in this, the 21St century. We have other sources of information that by-pass his old line "chain of command". Even the huge attempt at media spin is by-passed. There are too many people out there who will ignore the spin and look at what was actually done and said.

Consequently the lie can be given it's due consideration and then tossed in the sewer when the preponderance of evidence proves it to be the lie that it actually is.
