Jan. 27, 2007, 9:36 a.m.What a terrible loss for their families, because of the way they were killed, they were executed. Very sad story.

Jan. 27, 2007, 10:01 a.m.This comes at a time when we are to rely more heavily on the Iraqi army. There are a lot of unanswered questions regarding this attack, and placing our trust and the lives of our soldiers in their hands is questionable at best.

Jan. 27, 2007, 10:06 a.m."The attackers captured four soldiers and fled with them and the computer east toward Mahawil, the U.S. military officials said."
In the article it describes this attack as a serious breach of security, if the computer that was taken was an official computer, what intelligence will they be able to glean from it?

Jan. 27, 2007, 10:54 a.m.And they want to send MORE troops. What idiocy. This alone should tell the Chimp in Charge that it is time to get out. NOW!

Jan. 27, 2007, 11:55 a.m.One would think that after reading this story that those individuals who support the war would no longer want to see our family members in the militry over in Iraq suffering from so many different horrors. But sadly I think the article will only surge their hate for a group of people who are fighting for their own freedoms. The war supporters will suggest we need more troops to go into this war.

I am one of those War Supporters. I feel very bad for every family that has lost someone in the War on terror, but I am able to look at that from the Macro rather than from the Micro. 3000 troops is a very small price compared to what is a stake. As PatrioticAmerican said... The left has tied the hands of our troops, and now you cry when we take losses as a result of it! Take gloves off... allow our troops to do what they are trained to do, allow their leaders to develop bold moves without the concern of the bleeding hearts, and the insurgents will quickly go away, either by their own decisions to save their hide, or by the power of our bullets! If we do leave, I expect to hear the liberals crying about how we need to go back and help the poor iraqi's as soon as the ethnic cleansing begins!

Jan. 27, 2007, 2:53 p.m.Civil war, cannot win. As in Vietnam you did not know who was friend or foe. Even vietnamese children would act like your friend but in the end they would give aid and comfort to the enemy.
This is not a Civil war that can be won. Again, you hawks get over it, the mistake cannot be rectified. Take out your anger where it is deserved, Mr. Bush. We never should have entered Iraq for erroneous and misleading information.
The war on terror is in Afghanistan where are leader has also erred by putting resources into Iraq, to the continued violence and reestablishment of both Al Queda and the Taliban.
Blame Bush, that is where the idiotic decision came from.

Jan. 27, 2007, 3:18 p.m.Continued, Actually in Iraq its worse than Vietnam concerning infiltrators and disloyal, supposed friends. So consequently the ******e and Sunni collaborators are more numerous. Who can you trust, the ******e govenment? Not winnable you conservatives, insert more troops, more dead Americans.
Greatest error by an American President. Mr. Bush's legacy is one that will appall our future generations.
If America is attacked we Americans will be, and can be, as brutal in a fight to perserve our way of life. Iraq never attacked America. We are not considered liberators by the vast majority of Iraqi's but instead as occupiers.
I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT ANY CLEARER.

Americans that died. And riddle me this FOR WHAT???? We have
no reason to be there. And we've heard that we have to fight
them over there and not here. More B.S.

Jan. 27, 2007, 4:05 p.m.First of all, I would like to state that I fully believe that, Bush had the real story concerning the abduction of these four troop, hidden, until he could give his State of the Union address to the American public. If you recall, the military first reported these four soldiers as killed in action, acting like they were killed at the scene of this meeting that was taking place. So this was just another Bush trick, trying to lie to the American public and Congress, in order to make things seem different than they really were.
As far as the American SUVs carrying the Iraqis, dressed as Americans, and speaking English; this is just a more brave, and sophisticated tactic by the insurgency, since Bush announced that he as bringing in another 21,500 american troops to Bagdad. Also, I don't believe a word of those Iraqi guards tending the gate at the entrance to that meeting. I think they were part of the Shiite milita death squads belonging to Al-Miliki, the Prime Minister. PM cons Bush.

Jan. 27, 2007, 5:06 p.m.It is so incredibly depressing. These people will never give up and we should not be there in the first place. Yet our President wishes to send more of our finest young men and women who could well meet similiar fates.
