U.N. to Audit All Operations in N.Korea »

The United Nations said Friday it would audit all its operations in North Korea , where the U.S. has alleged that money from at least one U.N. program could be ending up illegally in the hands of the communist regime.

    "The details of what we'll do are still being worked out," said UNDP spokesman David Morrison. "I believe all of the U.N. funds and programs, and indeed national diplomatic missions, in (North) Korea face similar challenges in terms of hiring local staff."

      For me the more the U.N are involved the better, not just with North Korea but all troubling/troubled nations. The U.N might have its flaws but we need to have contries working together addressing global issues.

        I think they should work together also but have trouble remembering when that was..

          This unifies/conforms rules for the best interest of the global community.

            My main point here is it's diplomaticaly safer to work together on issues than on your own (like Iraq). Costs are shared, and the country being addressed cant attack/threaten as readily as if you were on your own. I just think its better.
