Jan. 30, 2007, 9:31 p.m.There are too many similar examples of this administration bullying other agencies and committees to get them to bow to their demands. These are all signs of a totalitarian government. Political interference and fear of retaliation is a theme that follows this administration where ever they go. 435 reported incidences of interference -- attempts to manipulate and alter the actual findings of scientists were discovered by the Union of Concerned Scientists. These police state tactics have put our nation in jeopardy and threaten our ability to prepare for climate and global changes. The time is long overdue for this nation to impeach and remove from office Bush, Cheney, and Attorney General Gonzales.

Jan. 30, 2007, 9:28 p.m.Well i certainly don't doubt this, especially in light of the fact that they are now trying to limit media coverage on what they are doing with this war.
Bush/Cheney are bullies, dispicable, and their day will come! It is starting to look like they plan to be in control forever, that's so scary!

Jan. 30, 2007, 9:36 p.m.There is profit in confusion; the more confusion, the more profit. Therefore, the best approach is to create problems and then offer solutions.
The scientists, and information, are the "ace" the administration is waiting to play. All at the expense of the lives of every living creature on Earth. A new level of evil!

Jan. 30, 2007, 9:43 p.m.With any luck, the next couple of years will disclose lots of secrets that have been kept from the public, and some of the evil doings of this administration will start coming to light.
For some reason people seem to be scared of this administration. Wonder what's up with that?????

Jan. 30, 2007, 9:56 p.m.Is it just me, or is this just too weird? Doesn't anyone have the b***s to stand up to that jerk? I DO, and I'm a woman! I just don't get this at all. What is wrong with people?

A big hug for everybody.

Jan. 30, 2007, 10:33 p.m.Neo,
Great story!
To top it off, in tonight's evening news and other programs, they disclosed that POTUS has issued an EXECUTIVE ORDER to all agencies that their political appointee head will be the final authority in their decision making!
No more pesky scientists with real data to mess with the "TRUTHY" findings!
I personally wouldn't mind that he is going to hell on an express elevator, it is that he is taking the rest of the world as his hostage with him!
Let's make sure we keep Pelosi on notice that unless she starts with the Impeachment Proceedings, she will face the same charge, for dereliction of her sworn duty to uphold the Constitution.
The only remedy to this is what the Constitution has provided:
Impeachment Now, Vigilance Forever!
Peace and Blessings!

Jan. 30, 2007, 11:50 p.m.Catstevens, this article is not trying to prove global warming. Most of the world already knows global warming is a real threat.
This has happened in Canada, too, with the new censorship-happy Conservative government. Pretty alarming.

Jan. 31, 2007, 12:25 a.m.Another classic example of how our inveterate liar, false witness bearing, thieving, Born Again Mass Murderer-in-Chief deals with facts. It seems to be a pathology endemic among the neocons.

Jan. 31, 2007, 1:18 a.m.Does it really matter if this is right, left, Conservative, Liberal, Republican or Democrat? Do YOU trust our government? I don't. Not any of them. It's too big, too out of control and too 'hidden'. There are way too many holes in Washington and there are way too many things hidden inside them.
I don't trust any of these folks any further than I could toss them and man, woman and child do I want to toss them.
VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!!

Jan. 31, 2007, 1:53 a.m.If you think this is bad, it's just the tip of the iceberg. "Crimes Against Nature" by R. Kennedy Jr. is brimming with many , many facts about this type of thing going on for the last 6 years. Suits filed, new laws passed around them or they are held up by so much red tape they sit for years without an end. I guarantee---people don't have a clue.

Jan. 31, 2007, 2:17 a.m.How many stories have we seen like this, it doesn't mater if we are talking about climate change or the phony intelligence and lead up to the war in Iraq. Katrina and the lack of action in New Orleans and the south coast.
Or the fact the vice presidents right hand man is now on trial for lying to a grand jury. I could go on and on.
Even last week when Cheney was being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN he repeated the lie, that Iraq in some obscure way, had links to 9/11. And they do it all with a strait face. I mean for heavens sakes!
Remember Nixon? "I am not a crook"
The rest was history, you all begged to differ!

Jan. 31, 2007, 10:43 a.m.Can you clarify that statement. It's not "he's the boss of me" because he's the president and in theory he is supposed to answer to the populace. This article is regarding the fact that he chooses to act for the best interest of a few at the cost of the many.

Jan. 31, 2007, 8:46 a.m.Of course he is gonna (short for "going to") want to alter the data or supress it...it isn't in the interest of the "big business" friends. He needs to be put out or knocked out.

Jan. 31, 2007, 8:52 a.m.Is it 1984 yet? What kind of "truth" do we have from this administration? Political appointees have the last word at all times? Despite science? Despite real evidence to the contrary?
I am hoping that the Joint Chiefs of Staff will open their eyes, read the Constitution and then go arrest both the Chimp in Charge and Shotgun Dickie. While they're at it, they should also round up the Secretary of Snake and Alberto "Quaint."
It is too late for impeachment. Drastic action is needed.

We know Bush lied about the Levees? Gawd in 6 short years he destroyed the Chocolate City's levees?
Errrr how old are these levees? Is it possible that maybe Clinton, Carter, Johnson, JFK, FDR may have had a hand in these Levees? Since the 60's the Dems have had a majority in the House and Senate what maybe 90% of that time? No let's call it 60% just for grins. Walden do you have some sort of fact suppositories that you use when you make these sweeping claims against Bush because it seems that you pull them out yer butt. Everything that has befallen mankind isn't Ws fault no matter how badly you want it to be. You guys are twisted beyond belief!
