The HiRISE camera is the most powerful telescope to have left Earth orbit. As such, it is capable of some interesting astronomical observations.

    Interesting, I guess I didn't realize that the HiRise is capable of observations such as this. Some great resolution in this image.

      Spec TAC ular! Not to make LIGHT of this extraordinary achievement, but the martians would have awakened with quite a start if they saw this giant face stareing at them.

        Can anyone answer this question, Just below the large red storm you see some white blotches across the planet. Now I know that Jupiter was struck by the break up of a metorite a few years back close to these white marks. Question, are these from the metorite and if so, I thought Jupiter was a gaseous planet so why the marks?

              It looks kinda similar to Jupiter from earth. Maybe a little bigger.
