Gasoline prices took an abrupt turn Friday after dropping by 18 cents over the past four weeks, they were jumping by 5 to 10 cents at many locations around Waco on Friday.

AAA Texas, the auto club, saw this coming.
Spokeswoman Rose Rougeau said Thursday that the economic trends "eventually could mean higher prices at the gas pumps."
